Periodontology is a field of dentistry which deals with gum diseases. Among those the most common is paradontosis. The term “paradontosis” describes chronic inflammation of gums and bone tissues lying underneath. The main cause of this ailment is bacterial plaque, commonly known as scale, which gathers on teeth and gums. As a result of this process the tissue, which holds the teeth is damaged, the cervical zone (neck of a tooth) is uncovered, teeth are not held firmly and can fall out.
Paradontosis treatment depends on the stage of its development.
